There was once a Dragon living in his nice cozy cave. But then one day his cave was struck by an earthquake. The cave shook and rattled. He saw cracks form along the walls of his cave. But the cave was still standing, so he did nothing. Eventually, months went by and it all collapsed randomly. The dragon was crushed by his cave and he rushed out to find a new cave. He went flying all around the world looking at new caves, of all different types watery caves, tropical caves, fire caves, and met all different types of dragons along his way. But he never found a cave exactly like his old one.
One day, there was a rumor of a huge winter coming. So, all the dragons went back to their caves. And by the time the winter came the Dragon was back near his old cave. With no better options he laid in between the ruins of his old cave. It was comforting to be back in his old cave. But it was still not safe, it just kept crushing him further and further. And then the Dragon had enough one day.
He asked all the other dragons how did they all have nice caves. And they told them that they didn’t find the caves this nice. They had to build them out slowly and over time. Frustrated by this answer the Dragon left in a hurry.
The Dragon kept searching through a snowstorm. His wings froze over and he could not go on any longer. He found an empty small cave. It was small but it was safe. He spent a lot of time sleeping and waiting till the winter passed.
As he laid in his small new cave, he felt his life flame from his gut slowly giving out. He can feel the heat leaving his soul. The Dragon thought he was going to die. But then one day a new flame, that he never knew he had, emerged from within his heart. Finally, when he had the energy to step outside of his cave. He found that the winter had already passed.
Even though he wasn’t happy with his small cave. It was his cave and it’s all that mattered. He slowly, over time, made his cave bigger and better. Then one day, as the Dragon was digging his cave, the wall he was working on fell apart. And it all tumbled down to reveal a large hole. He went inside the hole and found himself in another cave. Inside he found a lady Dragon. They both invited the other one to explore their caves. And the Dragons were both impressed by each other’s cave and turns out their caves were very similar. Their eyes caught the others gaze and they fell in love. And they lived happily ever after.
